Turning the Tide explores water pollution around the UK, with a focus on the community groups who have formed to protect and revitalise our waters.

Privatised water companies have been damaging UK rivers, lakes and coastal waters for years through sewage and agricultural pollution, as well as the lack of reinvestment into improving necessary infrastructure. Currently, none of our English waterways are in “good” ecological and chemical health. Targets to clean up our rivers, lakes and coastal waters have been pushed back 36 years by the Environment Agency, from the original 2027 date to 2063.

This project highlights the vital work activist groups, organisations and individuals are doing to fight for cleaner water.

These prints are a fundraiser for community group WASP (Windrush Against Sewage Pollution). All profits will go towards their ongoing work. Registered Charity Number 1199418.
